How can we unbox the potential of crypto? The project aims to design a secure physical solution for people to easily store, manage and use their crypto assets. In collaboration with Ledger, the concept creates a vision of what a premium hardware wallet experience would be like.
With Ledger.
A user-centered approach was taken to explore how we can manage crypto assets differently and easily. And in collaboration with Ledger, I started building on what Ledger has nowadays.
Challenge.
I researched different ways of managing crypto assets, and tested out many solutions for both digital and physical wallets. The challenge is to find a balance between good user-experience and security.
Design process.
Many mockups and prototypes are made and tried out by different users to prove and improve the concept.
Digital interfaces are also prototyped and integrated. The final model was milled, printed and painted.

Terminal is a physical solution for people to store, manage and use their crypto assets smoothly and securely by storing seed phrases in a separate card.
It provides full isolation between private keys and easy-to-hack smart devices, which allows users to truly own their crypto assets safely and utilize them to their full potential without an effort.

Terminal is a hardware solution with two parts and one add-on: seed card, terminal, and dock port. The encrypted seed card stores a long private key of users' crypto assets offline and independently. To access or use the assets, simply insert the seed card into the Terminal and verify it with a six digit PIN code and fingerprint.

Terminal connects to the Ledger Live app, helping users buy, sell, swap and securely manage their crypto assets in one clear, approachable place.
A system for all users.
The docking port connects and charges the Terminal wirelessly, and allows coders, experts, or professional investors to test and access the latest applications without worrying about funds being stolen or lost.
Either you need to access Curve.fi for some stable coin swap, or borrow and lend assets on Solend, you can achieve all the DeFi stuff you love with Terminal as well.
